All about mountains

Sam was born and raised in Zermatt, Switzerland. Since he was a little boy most of his time was spent skiing and roaming the mountains around home. The formerly trained carpenter is a multi-talent when it comes to all forms of mountain sports. Sam is not only a certified UIAGM mountain guide, he's also into paragliding, freeskiing and of course: mountainbiking. His enthusiasm for outdoor sports has led him to pursue a carreer in this field. Film projects like "Nevia" took him to the remotest and mysterious places in the world.
Sam's homebase is the beautiful valley of Zermatt. When he's not exploring new faces or racing down mountains on the E-ASX he loves to spend time with his family!

Mastering mountains with skill, intuition and an E-Bike

Sam has always been inspired by intense challenges. He loves to push his abilities to the next level. To him the mountains are a place of focus and motivation. As a mountain guide, Sam combines the highest skill levels, control, and endurance. Despite all his knowledge, Sam is aware that he's not in total control, so he tries to listen to his gut feeling and evaluates tricky situations with this mindset.

In order to maximize his time and efficiency in these challenging environments, Sam has found that the e-mountain bike is an invaluable tool. In the car-free Zermatt, it’s his first choice for getting around. Beyond the town’s borders, it allows him to reach the mountains much faster, farther, and, above all, more easily. This added mobility helps him make the most of his time outdoors, providing him with more opportunities to explore and conquer new challenges.

« Le vélo électrique m'aide vraiment à aller plus facilement en montagne. Je peux désormais emporter tout le matériel dont j'ai besoin, et atteindre des endroits où avant, je devais marcher ou courir pendant des heures. Je monte plus vite, et surtout, c'est bien plus sympa de redescendre. »
