Final Worldcup in the USA
The first stop of the season closing worldcups will be held in Lake Placid, USA. Leaves turning orange, crispy autumn air, cheerful crowds and athletes giving their all on the track - sounds like a perfect weekend! Tune in to read all about the Ghost Factory Racing Team.
The Venue
The end of september marks the end of another worldcup season for the Ghost Factory Racing Team.
As every other year the final two world cups will be held in North America. Lake Placid in the North of New York state will mark the first stop. It was the first time for Finja Lipp to start racing across the pond - how exciting! The U23 XCC-race was on friday, 27th september, while the elite race started on saturday, followed by the XCO on sunday.

XCC
Finja Lipp finished the U23 race in position 12 after a very strong comeback! Nicole Koller
really proved what's in her in Lake Placid! She made her mark and finished as 5th and was able to secure herself a spot on the podium! Caroline Bohé had to get her knee and shoulder checked out after the Worldcup, which was some kind of up and down. Luckily she was cleared and finished the race as 22nd. The last week was also a jitter for Anne Terpstra who had to fight a Covid infection. Her immunesystem fought it of just in time to race the last two World Cups of the season. Nonetheless she crossed the finish line as 13th.
XCO
Finja finished the XCO as 15th. Nicole once again put off a strong race and crossed the finish line as 8th. Caro secured position 19, while Anne came into the finish as 23rd followed by Isla on position 29.
What's next?
With the first weekend of october the final dance will start in Canada. Mont Sainte-Anne just outside of Quebec City will be hosting the annual season closing of the UCI World Cup for the 29th time. All the best for the final trainings and then good luck for racing!
