Bente started biking at a very young age, first with training wheels but those quickly came off! When she was 4 years old, Bente began with BMX and achieved quite a bit. In 2014 she finished World Championships in Rotterdam as 13th. In 2016 Bente was Dutch National Champion and won the Bronze medal at the European Championships. After these victories full focus was put on mountain biking and cyclocross with one goal in mind: reach the highest potential possible! At the age of 7 Bente got her first mountainbike and joined Cycling Club SV Putten. Additionally to MTB her cyclocross career started in 2017. The Dutch National Champion was achieved in winter 2020 after which Bente joined the Mountain Bike Club Bar-end in Apeldoom. Bente can call herself Dutch National Champion in 2019, 2021 and 2022. A year later she was invited to train with the bike academy along with other talented Bar-end cyclists. Bente has been part of the Bar-end Ghost Junior Team for three years now and really enjoys being part of the team, looking forward to learn a lot. 2025 will be her first year in the U19 category.
